Official contest rules

“The Hunt” · Version 2026-09-13.5

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A SKILL-TESTING QUESTION MUST BE CORRECTLY ANSWERED. THE CONTEST IS NOT OPEN TO RESIDENTS OF QUEBEC.

1 · Sponsor

This contest (the “Contest”) is run by Andrew Harris (the “Sponsor”), 347 Queen St. South, Hamilton, ON L8P 3T8. Questions about the Contest go to contact@andrewbharris.com. The Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by any social network or platform on which it may be mentioned.

2 · Eligibility

The Contest is open to legal residents of Canada, excluding Quebec who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence at the time of entry. Residents of Quebec are not eligible.

Not eligible: the Sponsor, and the immediate family (spouse, parent, child, sibling, and their spouses) of, and anyone domiciled with, the Sponsor or anyone involved in the development or administration of the Contest.

3 · Contest period

The Contest opens at September 5, 2026 at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time and closes at October 31, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time (the “Contest Period”). Entries recorded by the Sponsor’s server outside the Contest Period are void. The Sponsor’s server clock is the official timekeeper.

4 · How to enter

There is no purchase or payment of any kind. To enter: go to the hunt page, give a valid email address, confirm your eligibility and accept these rules. Then explore the 3D gallery and find all 11 hidden objects by walking up to each one and examining it. When all 11 have been recorded against your entry, you will be asked a skill-testing question (section 7). Answering it correctly completes your entry.

Limit one entry per person and per email address for the Contest Period. Entries made by any automated means, script, macro, or by manipulating the Contest’s software or network requests, are void. Entries are recorded and time-stamped on the Sponsor’s server; that record governs, and no other evidence of entry will be accepted.

5 · Prize

One (1) prize is available, consisting of: A full day of photography or a website build. One (1) prize, and the winner chooses which of the two it is. EITHER (a) one full day — up to eight consecutive hours — of photography with the Sponsor: commercial photography for a business, headshots for a company, a wedding, an event, or any other photography the winner wants, on a date agreed between the winner and the Sponsor. The day includes the Sponsor’s time, equipment and the delivery of edited images. It takes place within the Greater Toronto Area; the Sponsor will shoot elsewhere by agreement, but travel, accommodation and related expenses outside the GTA are the winner’s responsibility. Not included: permits and location fees, talent or models, styling, hair and makeup, props, rented equipment, second shooters, and any third-party licensing. OR (b) a custom website for the winner’s brand or business, designed, built and deployed by the Sponsor: up to five pages (or a single-page site of up to five sections), responsive, with two rounds of revisions after the first complete draft. The winner supplies all text and images. Not included: domain registration or renewal, hosting fees, third-party subscriptions, licences or plugins, logo and brand identity design, copywriting, photography, online stores or payment processing, booking systems, and any maintenance or support after launch. Whichever option the winner chooses is scheduled directly with the Sponsor.

Approximate retail value: CAD $6,000. The prize must be accepted as awarded, is not transferable, and cannot be substituted for cash. Any difference between the stated and actual value will not be paid. The Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the stated prize cannot be awarded for any reason. The prize must be redeemed within twelve (12) months of the date it is awarded, on a date agreed by the winner and the Sponsor, or it is forfeited. Any taxes arising from the prize are the winner’s responsibility.

The prize is professional work, not an item handed over, so it is carried out on the Sponsor’s standard client terms: before the shoot or the build begins, the winner signs the Sponsor’s usual client agreement, covering scheduling, cancellation, deliverables, image and code licensing, and the conduct of the engagement. Those terms govern the work itself; these rules govern the Contest. The Sponsor may decline to carry out work that is unlawful, unsafe, or that the Sponsor reasonably considers would damage its reputation, and may in that case substitute the other prize option or a prize of equal or greater value.

6 · Odds of winning

The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible, completed entries received during the Contest Period.

7 · Skill-testing question

Before being declared a winner, each selected entrant must correctly answer, unaided and without mechanical or electronic assistance, a mathematical skill-testing question administered during entry. Up to three (3) attempts are permitted. An entrant who does not answer correctly is disqualified and another entrant will be selected.

8 · Winner selection and notification

On or about November 5, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time, the Sponsor will select one (1) entrant at random from all eligible, completed entries. The selected entrant will be notified by email at the address given at entry, and must respond within 5 days of the notice being sent. If the selected entrant cannot be reached, does not respond in time, declines, is found ineligible, or fails to meet any condition in these rules, the prize is forfeited and another entrant may be selected.

Before the prize is released, the selected entrant must sign a declaration and release confirming their eligibility and compliance with these rules, accepting the prize as awarded, and releasing the Sponsor from any liability arising from the Contest or the prize.

9 · Verification, cheating and disqualification

All entries are subject to verification. The Sponsor records how each object was found, including timings and the sequence of interactions, and reviews that record before any prize is awarded.

The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and reasonable discretion, to disqualify any entrant it believes has: tampered with the Contest, the gallery software, or the network requests behind them; used any script, bot, or automated tool; entered more than once or under more than one address; or otherwise acted in bad faith or in violation of these rules. An entry that is incomplete, illegible, corrupted, late, or produced by any means other than genuinely finding the objects is void.

10 · Personal information and privacy

To enter, the Sponsor collects your email address, your province or territory, your confirmation of age, your acceptance of these rules, and a record of your progress through the hunt. Your IP address is stored only as a one-way salted hash, used to detect duplicate entries; it is not retained in a form that identifies you.

This information is used only to administer the Contest — tracking your finds, contacting a winner, and verifying entries — and is not sold, rented or shared with third parties for their own purposes. It is stored on servers operated by the Sponsor’s hosting and database providers, which may be located outside Canada and subject to the laws of those jurisdictions. Contest records are kept for twelve (12) months after the Contest closes, then deleted.

Marketing email is a separate, optional consent. Entering the Contest does not sign you up for anything. If, and only if, you check the optional box at entry, the Sponsor may send you occasional email about new work; you can withdraw that consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in any such message or by emailing contact@andrewbharris.com. To ask what is held about you, or to have it corrected or deleted, write to the same address.

11 · Publicity

By accepting a prize, the winner agrees to the Sponsor using their first name and province, once, to announce the result. No other use of a winner’s name, likeness, image or statement will be made without their separate written consent.

12 · General conditions

The Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected or undeliverable email, for failures of any network, server, browser or device, or for any technical problem that prevents an entrant from entering or completing the hunt. If the Contest cannot run as planned for any reason — including software failure, tampering, fraud, or any cause beyond the Sponsor’s reasonable control — the Sponsor may cancel, suspend or amend the Contest, subject to any approval required by law, and award the prize among eligible entries received up to the time of the problem.

By entering, each entrant accepts these rules and the Sponsor’s decisions, which are final and binding in all matters relating to the Contest. To the fullest extent permitted by law, entrants release the Sponsor from any liability for loss, damage or injury arising out of participation in the Contest or the use of a prize. These rules do not limit any right an entrant has under applicable consumer protection law.

Each entrant agrees to indemnify and hold the Sponsor harmless from any claim, demand, loss or expense — including reasonable legal fees — arising out of that entrant’s participation in the Contest, their breach of these rules, or any misrepresentation they make in connection with the Contest or a prize. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Sponsor’s total liability in connection with the Contest will not exceed the approximate retail value of the prize as stated in section 5. Nothing in this paragraph excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for personal injury caused by negligence.

These rules govern. If anything said about the Contest anywhere else — an advertisement, a social media post, a caption, an email or a conversation — conflicts with or goes beyond these rules, these rules apply. If any part of these rules is found unenforceable, that part is severed and the rest continues in force.

13 · Governing law

The Contest is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, and entrants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario. The Contest is void where prohibited by law.

These rules were last updated for version 2026-09-13.5. If you entered under an earlier version, the version you accepted is recorded against your entry.
